  • Digital Health for Beginners

    The digitalization of health and care is about to fundamentally change the way services are provided. "Digital Health" is the buzzword: The use of digital technologies is intended to improve health, care, life, and society and to enhance the quality and efficiency of care.

    In this two-week course, you will learn the basic concepts of Digital Health. Why is Digital Health important for your personal health? Why is digitalization a driver for innovation in health and care? The course will answer these questions and introduce you to the opportunities and risks of digitally supported health.

  • MOOC on Health Data Journeys

    This course consists of two parts and will introduce you to the possibilities that Digital Health opens up for contemporary societies but will also point to some potential challenges. By attending the course, you will be able to engage with the question of how personal health data travel, where they come to matter, which choices you have as citizens and what potential challenges need to be considered. Experts in social sciences will address social and ethical questions that potentially arise and how one could reflect on them. The course will also contain voices from citizens and let them share their reflections and concerns.

    Target audience: All citizens.

Seamless wearables data collection in mobile environment

The course consists of six modules and provides a clear explanation of all features and processes that can be performed within the Citizen Hub application. It will include detailed information about how to use the application, add devices, see reports and perform the overall functionalities. It will also feature more technological and specific subjects such as the different implemented standards, communication protocols and the implemented Internet of Things (IoT) architecture and others.

Target audience: educational and research communities, developers and IT 

MOOC 1 - The S4H project explained to the nursing profession

This course is aiming to make the frontline nurses better understand Smart4Health, as well as easing them into the created platforms, clearly outlining the benefits of the project’s outcomes, with the view of raising the audience’s interests and converting them into potential end-users. 

This online course is aimed at all ‘lifelong learners’, especially frontline nurses, who want to learn more about the digitalization of the health care system and the opportunities it offers. It is intended as an advanced Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course. Technical background knowledge is not needed for this course. 

Participants are expected to spend 1 to 2 hours through the instructional course.

Target audience: nurses.

MOOC 2 - Digital health literacy and EHR to the nursing profession

This course is an introduction to the digitalisation of healthcare to the nursing workforce. Nurses following this course will be taught on what is the “digitalisation” in a broader sense, to then move to an explanation on how digitalisation is transforming 1) the way healthcare is understood, 2) the way healthcare is provided, and 3) patients’/citizens’ expectancies of their healthcare providers.

This online course is aimed at all 'lifelong learners', especially frontline nurses, who want to learn more about the digitalization of the health care system and the opportunities it offers. It is intended as an advanced Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course. Technical background knowledge is not needed for this course.

MOOC 3 - EU digital health policy, the Smart4Health project, and the overall picture, to the nursing profession

This course is aimed at getting a broad perspective of what the EU’s digitalisation policy has been during the last decade, the political motives triggering it, and the differences between the digitalisation of health occurring at the national level and that at the EU level. Participants will be eased into how the EU institutions continued fostering the digitalisation of health through several research programmes, including projects like Smart4Health. Finally, this course explains the frontline impact that all these have in the nursing profession, as well as some predictions for the future.

This online course is aimed at all 'lifelong learners', especially frontline nurses, who want to learn more about the digitalization of the health care system and the opportunities it offers. Health Gateway: Easy interfacing with MedX machine

The course consists of five modules and provides a clear explanation of all features and processes that can be performed in Health Gateway software. The Health Gateway allows the real-time visualization of the sensors’ values, provide the MedX therapist with some functionalities, and assist the citizen during the MedX training.

Target audience: Smart4Health therapists

Smarterization of Medical Device using a CPS approach

The course consists of six modules and provides a clear explanation of all developments performed in MedX LE medical device smarterization. In this course, participants will learn how the smarterization of a physiotherapy medical device was performed, the sensors used, how the sensors data was collected and processed, and the user interface developed for citizen assistance.

Target audience: educational and research communities, developers and IT
